Something About Company
The Elsje Fink-Sanichar College Central Training for Nurses and Practitioners of Related Professions (hereinafter referred to as EFS College COVAB) is a very dynamic organization. The EFS College COVAB was founded on November 16, 1982 and provides nationally recognized training for nurses and related professions throughout Suriname.
The mission 
The EFS College COVAB is the knowledge centre that prepares caring and professional healthcare workers who, based on high ethical standards and values, commit to:

 to maintain and restore the health of local, regional and global communities through evidence-based practices, leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration;
 to function optimally individually and collectively in their professional roles in a time of globalization, rapid technological and social changes;
 to adopt the concept of “life long learning” based on applied scientific education, research and practice in order to be and remain competent as the profession develops.

Strategy of the organization
The current director, Mrs. A. Wallerlei-Kumbangsila MBA, is supported in her daily operations by a management team consisting of the financial manager Mr. Drs. R. Pleisner, the HR manager Mrs. A. Lie A Kwie, the facility manager Mrs. N. Tjien-Fooh BSc., the education manager Post-basic and HBO courses Mr. R. Morsen MSc. and the education manager basic courses Mrs. W. Bamoeje Bed. The director reports to the foundation board, which consists of seven board members. Board members are appointed every three years by the Ministry of Health. The organization falls under the Ministry of Health and is subsidized by the government.
The EFS College COVAB currently employs approximately 107 permanent staff. It strives for an excellent performing organization at all levels.
She wants to achieve this by:

a management style characterized by open two-way communication, employee involvement, leadership style based on teamwork, stimulation, innovation and coaching;
an organizational culture that encourages creativity, innovation, internal entrepreneurship, commitment, teamwork, high performance;
developing and implementing a modern HRM policy that guarantees the recruitment and retention of sufficiently qualified staff and the development of motivated and committed employees;
