In 2006, LNB International Nederland set up a feed producing company in Suriname.

On 21 May 2007, production in Suriname started. The company was set up according to a completely European concept, with the formulas of the feed coming from the Netherlands. L&B Surimix NV is the only company where production is automated.
In 2009, the international company Carg ill Inc acquired LNB Nederland and merged with Provimi BV in the Netherlands. The branch in Suriname (LNB Surimix NV) was acquired by other investors and the name was changed to L&B Surimix NV, which stands for Livestock & Broilers Feed Suriname NV.

However, the concept has remained European, which means that the formulas are still controlled by Provimi and the feed is also tested by Provimi.
L&B Surimix NV located at Sir Winston Churchillweg #43 in Livorno is a company that produces animal feed for the local Surinamese market. It produces feed for chickens, ducks, pigs, cows, and concentrates. The feed is produced in the form of both meal and granules.
In order to continue to guarantee the quality products, the company is accredited to the internationally recognized system for quality procedures, ISO 22000:2005. The auditors come from the renowned company Det Norkse Veritas (DNV).

Experts are also regularly brought in from abroad to transfer knowledge to the local growers, so that they have a higher production and a higher return.
