NV Suriname Earth Moving Contractors (SEMC) is an earthmoving company that was founded in 1991.
In 1996, SEMC started the subsidiary, SEMC Hardware NV for the sale of heavy equipment and the necessary parts and services with the aim of being the main supplier for heavy equipment and the parts and service for this.

The top brands Hitachi and MAN of which SEMC Hardware is the official representative have already occupied an important place in the Surinamese Mining and Construction sector for years. Various contractors use the good service of SEMC Hardware for the delivery of heavy equipment and the parts for this.

SEMC Hardware was originally also the official dealer for Ford and Land Rover cars, but since 2011 these two “World Class” brands have been placed under a new subsidiary,  SEMC Motors NV.   The main reason for this is that SEMC Motors wants to focus entirely on the sales and service of Ford with the aim of ultimate customer satisfaction. SEMC Motors has quickly proven itself as a reliable dealer for the delivery of the complete line of passenger cars, SUVs and pick-ups.
